Robert Schumann wrote many musical compositions for his wife, Clara Schumann, who was a talented pianist and composer in her own right. One of the most well-known compositions he wrote for her is the "Piano Concerto in A Minor, Op. 54," which he dedicated to her. This piece is considered one of the greatest piano concertos in the Romantic era and is still performed frequently today. Schumann also wrote many songs for Clara, including "Widmung" (Dedication) which is the first song of his "Liederkreis, Op. 24."
