But this isn’t the first time David Lynch has dabbled in the culture.

Twin Peaks is a television show about a young girl’s murder in a strange, isolated, Northern Pacific town. Like most David Lynch productions, it deals with violence, sex, the duality of human nature, and the thin membrane we often puncture between the world of dreams and the world of the tangible.

David Lynch might also love shredding half-pipes, which could explain why he’s just collaborated with skateboard-maker Habitat on a new line of Twin Peaks-themed goods. The company is producing a variety of decks, t-shirts, and other paraphernalia associated with the show, featuring fan-favorites such as FBI agent Dale Cooper, murder victim Laura Palmer, seductress Audrey Horne, and the beloved Log Lady.

Showtime is set to premiere a long-awaited third season of the show this May, so it’s likely this commercial pairing is promotional in nature.

What might surprise you to learn is that this isn’t Lynch’s first flirtation with skate culture. In 2011, he worked on a capsule collection with Supreme that yielded two limited-edition t-shirts, one with a drawing from Lynch and the other with a still frame of his 1986 psycho-sexual drama Blue Velvet.

If you’re interested in his slightly more obscure 2011 effort, there’s a used shirt going for $150 on eBay right now.
