Gwyneth Paltrow appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday to promote her faux-scientific lifestyle website Goop. And while Kimmel, apparently a longtime Goop watcher, was prepared with questions about the company’s “alternative” lifestyle suggestions, Paltrow couldn’t keep up, giving the impression that her nearly ten-year-old website isn’t one that she visits regularly.
When Kimmel asked Paltrow about various Goop-endorsed practices, she struggled to explain what they were and admitted she had never used the vaginal jade eggs sold on her website and she had never heard of or read a Goop article endorsing squatting to pee. At one point Kimmel suggested that there are claims on the website that even Paltrow, Goop’s founder, doesn’t believe. She replied, “Oh yeah, for sure, yeah.”
