World Dispatch: Let’s talk about ‘Love’

The Netflix show, but also the concept. Today on The Outline World Dispatch.

Every Monday through Thursday, The Outline World Dispatch brings you stories about Power, Culture, and the Future. We guarantee you’ll feel smarter and more hydrated. Hosted by yours truly.

When writer Kate Ryan watched the Netflix show ‘Love,’ she recognized a lot about her own life: the disappointments, the anxiety of trying to create, and the ways people find love in challenging circumstances. But there was something more tangible she also recognized — as a teenager during a summer screenwriting camp, she lived in the same apartment complex depicted in the show.

Ryan joined me on the show to take a trip down her own memory lane, and to look at how the show helped her reexamine a crucial point in her life.
